Drum Lessons
Build rhythm, coordination, and musicality with personalized drum lessons!
Drumming is one of the most engaging and physically active ways to experience music. Drum lessons help students develop timing, musical confidence, and a strong sense of groove while playing the music they love. The drums provide a strong foundation for musicianship in both band settings and personal music-making.
Who Are Drum Lessons For?
We offer drum lessons for children, teens, and adults of all experience levels.
An appropriate age to begin drum lessons is typically around 6 years old, although every student develops differently.
Drums are an excellent choice for students who enjoy movement, hands-on learning, and active participation. A full drum set is not needed to begin lessons. In fact, beginners can start with just a practice pad and a pair of drumsticks. This makes learning the drums accessible to beginners and families who may not have the space (or the noise tolerance) for a full drum set.
Our teachers work with:

Getting Started
Getting started with drum lessons is simple. A full drum kit is definitely not required. To begin with the basics, students will need:
-
a practice pad
-
drumsticks
-
a music stand (recommended)
An electric kit with mesh heads and a set of headphones is an excellent option for a realistic playing experience without the noise and space of a full acoustic kit.
For younger students, we are happy to help recommend appropriately sized instruments and equipment.
