Piano Lessons at Our Erie Studio
Welcome to our Erie piano studio, a dedicated space where students learn, create, and grow through personalized piano lessons. Open to brand-new beginners, advanced pianists, and everyone in between, our studio offers a focused, hands-on learning environment where students build skills and nurture a lifelong love of music.
Location
Our Erie studio is conveniently located near Erie Parkway and East County Line Road, making it easily accessible to students from Erie, Lafayette, and surrounding communities.
A nearby park and trails give family members the chance to enjoy some time outdoors, while their student is in lessons.
Meet Your Teacher
Daniel McIntyre has been dedicated to the piano since 2008 and has spent the years since building a career that spans performance, teaching, and composition. He discovered a passion for the instrument early on and was accepted into the music program at West Chester University in Pennsylvania, where he performed in numerous solo recitals and ensemble concerts. Among the highlights of his time at WCU was performing at Carnegie Hall with the Wind Ensemble in David Maslanka's Symphony No. 4.
In 2018, Dan moved to Colorado to pursue a Master of Music in Piano Performance at the University of Colorado Boulder. He deepened his craft through frequent solo recitals, ensemble performances, and master classes, while also studying piano pedagogy under Alejandro Cremaschi. He further developed his teaching practice through the CU Youth Piano Program, working with students across a wide range of ages and abilities.
Since completing his graduate studies, Dan has also pursued composition and sync licensing, writing original music for film and television with a focus on cinematic and orchestral styles. He recently attended the Fusion Film Scoring Workshop in Greece, an experience that continues to inform how he thinks about music and communicates that passion to his students.
At the heart of Dan's teaching is a belief that music should be exciting. He works to bring enthusiasm into every lesson, helping students connect with the expressive and creative side of playing while fostering technical skills. He tailors his approach to each individual, working with students of all ages and skill levels, and uses a broad range of pedagogical tools to build musicality alongside confidence and curiosity.

Students have the opportunity to play on a beautiful Kawai studio upright piano, collaborate on a weighted digital piano, and explore composition and music technology. With a wide variety of books, games, and hands-on learning materials, the Erie studio provides an engaging and inspiring environment where students of all ages can build confidence, develop their skills, and discover the joy of making music.
